Lockdown doesn’t need to be dull! If you’re struggling for ideas to keep the kids entertained while being stuck indoors we have some great tips to keep little hands busy! When the homeschooling has finished for the day, make the most out of family time with these fun activities.

1. If you’ve exhausted your supply of paper and card then don’t let that stop the creativity flowing! Our window markers and pavement chalks make drawing on paper a thing of the past. Why not come up with a colourful design on your driveway or windows to make passers by or neighbors smile. Visit our Amazon store to get yours!

2. Pack up a tasty lunch and head to a nearby park or even just into your garden for a picnic. The Maped Picnik range is great for little hands, with three separate compartments and a leak proof tray there is plenty of space inside for a tasty lunch. Why not check out our recipe ideas?

3. Write letters and cards to relatives! We’re all missing friends and family during the lockdown. While it’s great to catch up on a quick video call, there’s nothing like receiving a handwritten card or a letter. Dig out the pens and pencils and keep loved ones up to date with all your lockdown activities! You could even include a picture or some artwork to really make them smile!

4. Get gardening! If you have access to a garden then growing your own fruit and veg is easier than you think! Things like strawberries and tomatoes are ready to be planted now and are easy for the kids to help take care of – we think they’ll enjoy eating them even more!

5. Get some exercise! There are plenty of online fitness classes available for kids of all ages and abilities! Keep up their fitness by introducing fun ways to get their bodies moving such as dance or yoga.

6. The Maped Creativ website has plenty of ideas to keep little ones entertained. Why not try one of our DIY craft activities or download our selection of colouring sheets to print out and colour!
